Other Equipment Available outside Rutgers-Camden.
Thermochemical instrumentation: The stopped-flow isothermal mixing calorimeter; hypersensitive isothermal titration calorimeter; pressure-variable differential scanning calorimeter; batch, titration, and differential scanning calorimeters. The thermochemical facility is located at the Chemistry Department of Rutgers University-New Brunswick Campus.
Equipment available for a fee: X-ray Scattering: A multi-angle X-ray scattering system under a fee-to-use agreement at University of Pennsylvania. The system generates a Cu-K X-ray, ? = 0.154 nm, from a Nonius FR 591 rotating anode operated at 40 kV and 85 mA. The scattering data can be collected using a Bruker, Hi-Star 2D detector with sample-to-detector distances of 7, 11, 54 and 150 cm. In addition, the scattering system can collected at different temperature using a Linkham HFS91 temperature controller with temperature resolution of ±0.1°C. Also, the scattering can be collected at different % relative humidity using an in situ environmental chamber with a temperature and percent relative humidity resolution of ±0.1°C and ±1.5 %RH.
